lillyp3103
Received medical collection letter from Receivables Management Systems (RMS). Sent request for debt validation. RMS provided everything asked for except license number and registered agent which is required in MD. Checked MD Dept. of Assessments and Taxations and RMS status is "forfeited". I then looked up RMS on BBB site which shows "IO, Inc." as an alternate business name. The MD tax site showed that IO is in good standing (same owner and address). Both IO and RMS are Virginia companies. Why would I receive a letter from the unlicensed company and not IO Inc? Should I send a follow up letter to RMS requesting again the license number and registered agent? Thanks in advance.
1stStep
I think you file a complaint for unlicensed activity... and mail a copy with any dispute/validation letter. I doubt they pursue...
