is it required to answer the answer interrogatories?

Recommended Posts

i know that discovery questions would be deemed admitted as admit but what about the interrogatory questions?

If you don't answer them, they can ask for a motion to compel. It's basically asking the judge to tell you to answer - or else! One way or another, you have to answer them, even if your answer is an objection. From what I've seen, CAs and JDBs tend to ask questions that they shouldn't and tend to not answer questions that they should.

Since they are not admissions, there is nothing to deem admitted. BUT, Interrogatories are part of the discovery process. You must respond to them.
