willingtocope
Interest and penalties.Closed means you can't charge on it anymore...charge off means "charge against income for p&l purposes".They still own it...you still owe it...they can still charge interest and penalty. Goldenbrats
Seems like $200. a month for charges and interest on a cc seems excessive especially when the limit was $500.

Coltfan1972
Probably something like 40.00 late fee, 40.00 over the limit fee, 15.00 fee for some b.s. 10.00 fee for payment on annual fee, then a 40% - 100% default rate (can pretty much charge as much as they want), plus you get the picture. Wait until they sue you for about 5K on that 500.00 credit limit. Charge off means nothing except for accounting purposes, for the creditor only, in dealing with the IRS.
