JeeperInAZ
I'm using Experian's service to monitor my credit reports. I noticed that they do not report the DOFD. Can I force them to report those dates to me?
GrumpyGus
No, there are several different groups that resell Experian's "service". The only way I've found to get the full credit report (complete with DOFD) is to spend the $15 or whatever, and get it directly from the CRA. If someone has a service which allows daily pulls from all 3 CRAs and lists DOFD, I'm all ears.

I called them yesterday to get the DOFD on the two that I am disputing. I went back and looked at a report that my mortgage guy pulled last year and there were no DOFD on there either. Interesting that when I called Experian last week to dispute those two items the Rep would not open a new dispute even though I had evidence that the DOFD could not be proven (OC does not have records back that far). The Rep yesterday did open a new dispute for me. We'll see what happens.
GrumpyGus
I will look into CreditKarma...I am unfamiliar with it.As for the new dispute, I don't want to seem negative but let me look into my crystal ball...You opened a dispute...it will be tagged "account in dispute by borrower" or whatever the lingo on your credit report. You will ask for a validation. It will come back validated. You will ask for MOV, and some silly response will occur from the CRA. You will go to the OC via 623, and they already told you they don't have records that far back. You will get that in some form of writing and then file an ITS with the CRA. After some wrangling they will delete the tradeline. It will take roughly 3-4 months and several CMRRR letters, but this is the success model. While there are grounds for violations and a possible 1,000 fine you will be so happy to have the TL removed you likely won't pursue that.I'm not being glib, most people on this site have done it many times over. You can too.

If this dispute comes back successful then I'll leave it alone, but if it verifies again then I'm filing and sending a copy of the filed suit to the CA.
