guitarman_715
I have two public records, in which I disputed them both with all three creditors. Unfortunately I started the dispute process before I came about this site and did it all online. However, Experian deleted the two public records, but Transunion and Equifax did not, it says verified. What should I do next? It would be really helpful to have these public records removed from all of my credit reports and just not one. Thanks
1stStep
Send another letter back to them asking for Method of Verification.
guitarman_715
I was going over the Method of Verification on the website and I am following the steps as necessary. In this case, who do I contact regarding having the "records". I know with a normal debt you contact the original creditor, but for a public record, do I contact the court and ask for records or do I contact the original creditor? 1stStep
You don't contact anyone...the CRA has to tell you how they verified it and who they contacted.
guitarman_715
I contacted Equifax and they said they verified it electronically, and if I wanted any sort of documentation I would have to get it from the creditor. That is all the information they would give me.
1stStep
You need to send the MOV request in writing - using Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested.
