NeverServed
Does anyone know what this means? I cant see the actual documents on line. But I just found this when I searched my case. I submitted my motion to dismiss on the 16th which was in the 30 day time limit. 03/16/2012 - final order-uniform foreign jdgmt03/20/2012 - gen civil case disposition info fr - attorney for plaintiff
Coltfan1972
It looks like the judge make a ruling and issued an order, or the other side submitted an order. Can you call the clerk and just ask them what the document is. Since it says disposition info, I'd guess the judge made some type of ruling. All just a guess of course. NeverServed
That's what I'm afraid of. If he made a ruling on the filing of that foregin judgement. And then has that disposition would that mean he ruled in favor of them? Or could it go either way? I have to wait until I finish my sons IEP meeting is tommorow at 7 am I have an appointment with a lawyer at 2 tommorow. I'm hoping the judge ruled to dimiss it. I'm scared that he made it in their favor since it was ordered the same day I turned in my motion to dismiss. If he did rule in their favor can I ask for an appeal? Coltfan1972
I would guess that since you just sent your response, he probably ruled for the other side, but of course I don't know. On a side note, anytime you have any motion before the court, ask for oral arguments. You will avoid any surprises, you will be there to ask/answer questions, the judge will know you're serious and it will tick the other side off. Ticking the other side is obviously the best reason, but the other ones are good also.

I had hired an attorney which tried to settle but they didn't settle obviously. I didn't know about oral arguements. It is my understanding that the judge makes a decision. I put papers there to prove I was a resident of GA at the time.with my motion to dismiss. What do you think the odds are? That he ruled in my favor? What does the second part mean? The disposition? Also can I appeal?
