snoppy
I really need to know what my employees are doing during the work time. Sometimes they just watch movies and play games, work efficiency become slower and slower. I am angry with it; some of my friends tell me that spy software, remote spy and web filter can help. But I am not sure whether it is useful. Do you have any other advice? Can anyone who recommends me spy software? Seadragon
that way you can see who it is. the router logs will show this information. It will show which computer connected to what site.the "spy" software may run afoul of privacy laws but the router logs and router blocking are legal. crash5050
if you are technical enough to set it up, untangles works great, it has a web proxy that will allow you to see any website your users go, also web marshall is a good one, but it is expensive. Dameware will allow you to look at each users screen if you like, also altris, I could go on and on. Just make sure your Banner message says something to the effect "This system is monitored"
willingtocope
Actually, you should write up a section for your personnel policy, or send out an email to each employee telling the that company computers are for company business only and that all usuage may be monitored. Include a sentence that says violation of this policy may be grounds for dismissal.
TomnTex
I think the OP is in the UK, that means he will be under different laws I would guess. But still good recommendations.
