KCG116 Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 I called the other day about several accounts and asked for copies of statements for all of them. When I got to one they claimed went to "FIA Services" they then told me those accounts I would have to pay over $100 for each account number. Is this legal?
1stStep Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 Yes...they probably need to get them out of some archive and, of course, will charge for it...
Coltfan1972 Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 Is this legal?Of course it is. They can charge whatever they want for their services, unless the charge is not allowed by law. This is not one of those cases. Look at the bright side. The JDB most likely will have to pay that also. So just costs to get statements will most likely exceed what they paid for the account.
KCG116 Posted April 5, 2012 Author Report Posted April 5, 2012 I called BOA again this morning, spoke to a Southern Belle-like nice lady who tells me that of course she can send me all the statements they have for the all the accounts I rattled off-right away and there was no mention of any charge to me...Maybe someone is reading my posts..
