Is this something we can do ourselves?

Recommended Posts

With all this mortgage fraud talk and forensic mortgage audits.....just like credit repair.......what part could we do ourselves?

These law firms want BIG money to do this. And would prefer you be behind in your payments. There has to be a letter out here or somebody's story in reference to doing this on our own.:D

An analogy of your situation - like a toe-tum pole, the bank is on top, the loan is in the middle, and your at the bottom. By hiring a law firm, your getting someone who is experienced in comparing your situation with the norm. They are in a higher position because they do not have the loan with your lender.

That's why there are law firms!!! If everyone's story was the same, it would be a predictable world....NOT!!!!!!

The fact is it's not a predictable world, and your story is different from anyone else.

Mortgage fraud and forensic audits - there are many scrammer's out there calling people trying to convince homeowners of a mistake in their loan, they do not mention, if something is found, how much is the attorney going to charge to win their case for them.

Did you walk away from the closing accepting the terms of the loan? You or somebody else trying to claim fraud - all your bank is going to ask whose signature was on the closing documents. You accepted the loan as is was and they gave you the money to buy your home.

Credit repair?

This is one of the best internet site's to learn and fix your credit report on your own. .

Learning about your repairing credit is as easy as walking, but first you need to learn how to walk.

Good Luck

There's a lot an individual can do, depending on his or her mindset, attitude, and willingness to engage.

First and foremost, challenge. Make them prove everything. Participate in discovery. Make them produce the note. Have them verify the custody of chain of title, if there are assignment gaps. Question the "signature" of the affiant (many have been bogus, lately). Were payments credited properly? Was the Truth in Lending Act adhered to? Any hidden fees? Who actually owns the mortgage? Who are the investors?

Research.

Lenders make mistakes.

Lawyers representing lenders make mistakes.
