My credit repair

So a little about me.

I use to have a 780 credit score, my father needed my car about 8 years ago for his job, but didn't have the credit for his own, I gave him mine and I made him the contact for the lease, but he was 120 days late for 9 months and I didn't know it. Bye bye credit. From then on I pretty much said F** it to my credit (like a young idiot would do). I'm in school and finally ready to face my credit and get it fixed right, I've been reading the forum / guide here for weeks but I'm a little confused as to the first step on a few of my credit problems, and I'd like to get some direct advise from you guys/gals if I can!

1) Bank: I have a Bank overdraft of 550 on my account, In 2003 I thought I had paid off the overdraft and closed the account, in 2008 this showed up on my credit as a new charge and the date of origin states 2008 as well (This is a mistake, and this debt is now over 9 years old).

2) Auto: I was 120 days behind on my car, they picked it up last year, but within the 10 day window a relative blessed me with paying the car off in full an they said I wouldn't have a repo on my record. It doesn't reflect a repo, but it says "Charge-off paid in full". Is that the correct listing? I would think since I paid every penny due that it wouldn't reflect "charge-off"

3) Credit Card: I had (when my credit was high) a 7500 limit card, as my credit tanked without my knowledge (I know it was my fault) they kept dropping my limit to just below my balance, and then telling me they changed my interest rate because I was over the balance, even though they lowered it! They kept this game going till I was down to 1300, and then they dropped my limit to 500 and charged me insane interest, so I stopped paying them. This was back in 2005 (Date of first 120 day delinq was like Oct 2005) I remember, because it was the same month I moved back to florida. They show the date of first delinq as 2008, and from what I read, they often move the date of this to keep it on your credit report.

Those are the three big ones, and no matter how much I read on here (About Validation letters, 633 etc.) I still don't really know how to start with these.

I have 6 other debts on there, all under 350, that I'm gonna try and get a deletetion for (if I can). My score is back up to about 610 or so but I still can't get crediit, any strategy you folks can suggest for how to proceed would be great, I'm afraid to contact them directly about the errors, since I read its best to first take issue with the CRB first.

Start with the 2 oldies and dispute as obsolete. If the 3rd acct in your list comes back verified, contact the OC or CA (whoever is listing it) and state that you are notifying them of your intent to sue for willful violation of the FCRA/FCDPA (depending upon the listing) and you should see success.

As far as the auto loan goes, I would suspect that the listing is 'accurate' because 120 days is in chargeoff territory. Normal repo is at 90 days.
