FeltS32
First off thank you to ALL of you who replied to my posts. Just left the courthouse with a dismissal because I showed the jdb did not adequately respond to my requests for docs. Not to mention the judge made it clear they wouldn't go far with one statement and generic paperwork. I am so pumped!! I'm sure they will come back again but it feels good now. To all the first timers don't be scared. I watched a women admit to owing a jdb 7800 and she was shaking. She had no clue what to say when she probably owes them nada! I'm young as this experience has been inspiring. I may just go back to school and fight for the consumer.

rte
It would be great if you decided to fight for the consumer, one way or the other. At this point, going back to school may simply generate more debts, but there must be other ways to help. Keep up the good work!

KentWA
I am so pumped!! I'm sure they will come back again but it feels good now. Not likely, you have already cost them more than they paid for the debt and they now know you will not stick your head in the sand and let them get a default. Congratulations! FeltS32
Thanks guys! I remember being so intimidated the day I recieved the complaint and then after I sent my requests and got a giant stack of paperwork I was sure I was done. Then with the help of the board I realized what they sent me was junk and they needed to prove the had the right (standing) to sue me. Now if they come back again I can more easily take them on. Now I have time to prove the SOL is done.

I'm young as this experience has been inspiring. I may just go back to school and fight for the consumer. But it would have been nice to perhaps pass out a sort of cheat sheet for the other defendants. You see how hard would it be for us that know to make a sheet with the issues and arguments and caselaw to help the other scared rabbitts in the courtroom.Maybe you can make an extra copy or copies of your brief and hand them out. Not to detract from your win, but to point out how some lost points out that we should all help even people on the verge of trial.maybe even sitting next to them will help them immensly and help you to calm down. It may even bluff the lawyer into dismissing their case maybe seeing you as a lawyer with large case file.so I truly believe it is not enough for just us to win but to strap a scared rabbitt to ourselves and help them when they most need it.Congatulations on your victory
FeltS32
That's a great idea! I will start working on a sort of cheatsheet of my course of action. DTrump I will PM you. We can take them down
