Midland - Reporting Errors ?

Hello,

It's me again - two posts in two hours ... hopefully, some progress comes along the way. As with a number of folks here, the Midland beast has reared its head into my CRs, with two TLs. I disputed in June; TU deleted, but EX & EQ verified. I'm plotting my next steps which might include either a MOV, dispute or a 623. But I want to be sure the reporting is correct. So, learned friends, please kindly review the extracts below, and let me know if there is something worth fighting about.

Thanks very much -- Yy <P/S: Sorry, it is a huge image for the two TLs):

Thanks very much, IstStep:

Since 623 asks for investigation, what specific items should I investigate in the 623 letter?

cheers, Yy

Do this:

Send a 623 letter to Midland

Send a MOV to the bureaus

Both letters need to go CMRRR.

Wait the 30 days to see what happens...

Here are some things I think are wrong, but I am not sure if they are vital or not:

TMobile:

-- Balance incorrect (though I don't have the records to prove otherwise because of a fire in my apartment)

-- Date reported: 9/12 on Equifax, but 12/2011 on Experian

-- DOFD: Equifax is reporting 08/2008; but Experian is reporting a "Date of Status" (not sure if it means the same thing) as 12/2011.

-- Balance: EQ reports a balance of $383 but EX reports none.

-- Account Status - not reported to either EQ or EX

Verizon

-- Balance incorrect (though I don't have the records to prove otherwise because of a fire in my apartment)

-- Date reported: 9/12 on Equifax, but 11/2011 on Experian

-- DOFD: Equifax is reporting 05/2009; but Experian is reporting a "Date of Status" (not sure if it means the same thing) as 11/2011.

-- Balance: EQ reports a balance of $382 but EX reports none.

-- Account Status - not reported to either EQ or EX

Thanks, 1stStep - two Qs and I will leave you alone for a while :-)

1. How about the other reporting errors concerning dates, or the fact that they do not report consistently from one report to the next?

2. I have written the 623 letter. Since my last dispute was in June, is it too late to send MOV to the CRAs? Which would be better - a second round of disputes or MOV?

Thanks - Yy

Go for the MOV... all you need to do is dispute once in order to use the MOV.

One of 2 things will happen - 1, they may correct. 2, they will deem your request frivolous. If that happens, consider suing the CRA - since you make the case that its arbitrary and capricious.
