witchywitch
BACKGROUND:I have a an account in WFNB and was sold to debt collector. $1881I have the letter from the debt collector they they settled the debt for $800.That was settled on 7/30/12Now the WFNB became Comenity.Comenity updated my credit report on 10/27/12, showing that I still owe $1,081. They just subtracted the $800 that was paid before.I have a letter from the debt collector that was signed by the GM of Omni (debt collector) about the settlement. What would I do next?I do not think it is right to update my acct on 10/27/2012 with the balance $1081 whilethe debt has been settled for $800 on 7/30/2012Shall I dispute it in the credit bureau? Thanks
BrunoTheJDBkiller
Typical sloppy work, you should see a consumer attorney for this, Philip Stern is the best in NJ. Give him a call, you may have some good violations.
