schmitzy84
So I sent a DV letter to MCM over a month ago. I first received a letter demanding my attorney's contact information. Two weeks later, I received a letter stating that an investigation had been opened and they had requested any appropriate documents. At the very bottom of the second letter it states something along the lines of the amount shown at the top of this letter is the most current amount on file pay off amount will be higher as interest and other fees are added. Please call our accounts department to get a full pay-off amount and to settle this debt today. Is this considered continued collections activity? The phrase was not included on the letter demanding lawyer contact information or their first letter.
admin
Yes, I would say it's considered collections activity. However, when did you send your DV letter. Within the first 30 days of receiving it?
