admin
While investigating online disputes, I logged into TransUnion to see what kind of process they had. I have not requested a credit report recently through annualcreditreport.com, though it could have been within the last year. (I pull one periodically to see what's up on my credit report.) You basically register, give them a bunch of information, including your email address, and *poof*, your updated, current credit report appears before you with the opportunity to dispute any of the items listed in your report. I did not have to give them a report number. They generated one for me. I didn't try it with Experian or Equifax, though I assume a similar process exists over there. cjtx
I think this is due to at least one of the class action lawsuits against TU because of the way it sold personal information to solicitors even if you requested to be excluded. As part of the settlement TU agreed to provide free credit reports to everybody who was a member of the class action. Have you tried ordering it by phone? I have ordered several copies/month sometimes.

credit_h
So who qualifies for this free credit report? Is there a limit to how often to get this free credit report? I got my free report via freeannualreport.com last July.
admin
@credit_h I don't think there is a limit to the number of times you see your report. You don't get like a .pdf copy you can save, this is strictly online.
halohonk
Not sure if this has been mentioned on this site before but I managed to get a free report out of all 3 bureaus without using up my 1 free report/yr. just by saying that I was unemployed and seeking employment (which is the case). Equifax lets you do this online on the same page for the free report you get when declined for new credit, Experian I did over the phone, and Transunion has a pdf request form on their site. novabob
@credit_h I don't think there is a limit to the number of times you see your report. You don't get like a .pdf copy you can save, this is strictly online. You can save it to your computer. If you have Adobe or Nitro Pro installed on your computer you can right click on the Web page select Print and a action box will pop up and you can choose your printer, but don't chose printer, you want to choose Adobe or Nitro Pro as your printer and you can save it.
