Corvetteman
I have had credit monitoring through Transunion for about 1 year. I can pull my report everyday if I wish and it doesn't cost me anymore. Its all included with the monthly fee. A little over 3 weeks ago Transunion changed their format. It a whole new look when you sign in. Ever since they went with the NEW format I can NOT see my accounts !! I can see my personal information, like name address, phone number, that is all I can see. I have called them 6 times in 3 weeks. I have talked with CSR and supervisors. They all say they are sorry and they hope to have it fixed soon. I called Transunion Corporate Headquarters and an executive from True Credit called me back and said they are working on it, yea right !! When I call of course the CSR can see all of my accounts and I can get information from them. I have one small collection on my accounts, everything else is fine. I feel that since I can't see my accounts Transunion should delete that collection. What do you guys think ? Thanks
willingtocope
Read the fine print in the terms and conditions you agreed to when you signed. My quess is there's something in there where they DO NOT guarantee the service will always be available.
cjtx
You can probably get a credit for the 3 weeks the system has been down, but getting a delete out of this is a stretch. Besides, you are given alternative ways to get the info. I'm sure they would send you a hard copy if you requested it.
Corvetteman
I really don't want to sue them but I am so mad that this has gone on for so long. I would think and hope that they SHOULD delete this collection because of the problems that they have created. The executive who called me back said we will reduce your monthly fee by $4.00 due to the inconvenience effective immediately. That was 8 days ago. Today they charged my account the full amount and didn't reduce it a single dime. So basically I am paying $16.95 per month to see my personal information. What a joke. Thanks for your replies. kutuzov
Easy call them and cancel the account, and get the full amount credited back. If they don't credit it back then dispute the charges with the bank or credit card. Get a recorder you're gonna need it.
Clydesmom
I have one small collection on my accounts, everything else is fine. I feel that since I can't see my accounts Transunion should delete that collection. What do you guys think ? Thanks So you have a collection on your CR and because a separate service you pay for that has nothing to do with the creditor that is reporting you think they should delete it? SNERK. Ummm, no. It doesn't work that way. You could try to demand they delete valid information because of this site error but my feeling is they will ignore you at best and laugh it off AND ignore you at worst. You are paying for a service you are not receiving. You are entitled to a refund of the daily prorated fees for every day the service is not available to you and that is it.
willingtocope
Again, I say, read the fine print in the terms and conditions of use which you agreed to when you signed up. I'll bet they do not guarantee 100% availability (or accuracy, for that matter).
CordusAdmin
I have to agree with Cydesmom - TU is not going to delete a collection just because you can not "see" it on your report. The real issue here is the fact the service you are paying for is not working as it should. I would dispute the charge with your bank or credit card company (where ever that $16.95 is coming from) and tell them you have not authorized this charge and your are being charges for services you are not getting. Let you bank deal with TU. As for the collection - you are going to have to dispute that with the CA directly.
Corvetteman
Three weeks ago after NOT being able to see my credit report for 45 days, I cancelled. I had called them 9 or 10 times regarding this and everyone from CSR reps, supervisors, and even upper management told me it would be fixed soon. They credited my account for 2 months which I was satisfied with. About 10 days later they sent me an email and wanted me back. I decided to try it again but using a different email address and password. Guess what ? Everything worked from Transunion. I could see all of my information. That lasted for 3 days !!!!!!! Same problem again !! I can see my personal information but can't see my accounts. I have tried for 4 days to see my accounts, NOTHING. A CSR rep told me hundreds of subscribers are having the same problem. I am done with Transunion. I just can't understand how or why I can see my accounts for 3 days and then I can't. What a joke !!! kutuzov
What you expected from the CSR? ... CSR: Sir I apologize for the inconvenience, I know we suck, I know we are not delivering you the service you pay for, but since you are already a customer we are gonna give you 30 days of no service for free, if you cancel it will be the same, but you won't be able to waste your time logging in etc.
Corvetteman
Another thing EVERY time I called which was 9-11 times total the CSR I talked to was VERY hard to understand. Where are their call centers ? India ?

kutuzov
Tell me about it... I stick with any company that got a US based call center, or at least try, the other problem is that they don't live in the USA and many times they got no clue what you're talking about, and you need to explain them how it works first to see if they got any clue of what they can do, and you're lucky if you get 3 out of 5 words from them, it's a pain. Oh well ... it ain't getting better since it's cheaper for them that way.
