unemployednomore
Consider this a hypothetical situation. You open your front door and find a summons sitting on the mat. You pick the document up and notice that the person being sued is not yourself, nor is it anyone who resides within. Just leaving a summons on a doorstep is legal? They need to mail a followup confirmation by USPS, correct? Is there a time limit on that? This... hypothetical situation... is curious as the hypothetical resident of the hypothetical home has no job and is at home ALL the time. Yet somehow there's a summons on the doorstep. Lazy a$$ process servers.
