crimsonblaze
I recently obtained a copy of my credit report through an online service. Unfortunately, it doesn't include report numbers for Equifax, Experian, or Trans Union. The last time I sent dispute letters out (it's been several years), the credit bureaus required you to provide them with your credit report number. Is this still the case? I'm not sure if I can simply say I'm writing to dispute an item that appears on the credit report I ordered from xyzcredit.com on June 5, 2013. admin
@crimsonblaze - You shouldn't need a report number to dispute. However, if you want a report number, register with the credit bureaus for an online dispute. They provide a report number. Notice I said here to register only. Don't use the online dispute.
