jag1500
I am delinquent on 7 of my credit cards. 2 Citi, 2 Bofa, 2 Chase, and 1 Discover. I signed up for CreditKarma.com to see what's on my credit report or if they have been sold to collections. But it only shows 1 Citi and1 Discover. It does not show any debt from Bofa, Chase, and another Citi card that i am about 120 days past due and Citi said it went to United Collections Bureau. Nor do I see any posting from any colletion bureaus. What's going on? I also see that one of the Card that actually belongs to my brother but he added me as an addition user (without ssn, just name) showing on my credit report. Why is that? Or your bank(s) simply are not reporting correctly or choose not to report. This is rare, but it does happen. I also see that one of the Card that actually belongs to my brother but he added me as an addition user (without ssn, just name) showing on my credit report. Why is that?Sometimes authorized users have those accounts reported on your credit report when it should not be that way. However, if it is a good account, I'd leave it on. kutuzov
Credit Karma only gives partial information. It will not show charged off credit cards, and will just list how many collections you got, if you want a more detailed one do creditsesame or quizzle or both they are also free. Joy M
Do a credit check and order new reports. That would be my first suggestion--to make sure you are looking at the newest reports from the three credit bureaus. Many times people simply look at the same report they pulled months ago. If the errors still exist on the report, then I would recommend that you contact the credit bureaus and notify them of the error and work with them to get that corrected on your credit reports. ArtVandelay
Why am I so lucky! CreditKarma shows every single bad item I have including all charge offs and collections. The only thing they missed is the piece of bubble gum I stole when I was three. Creditkarma uses info from Transunion, so your information may be more accurate on the other two majors. I wouldn't complain about missing negative information though. Check out annualcreditreport.com. They give you all three for free.http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0155-free-credit-reports
willingtocope
Unless you order and pay for reports directly from each of the 3 CRAs or order your free reports once a year from www.annualcreditreport.com there is no guarantee that what you see from any other source is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. The "3-in1" sites are basically summaries...probably using out dated info from some of the CRAs. The "do you know what your credit score is?" sites are usually run by 1 of the 3 CRAs. While the data from the site's sponsor may be close to complete, the data from the other 2 is almost certainly incomplete and out-of-date (remember, they are competitors...they do not willingly share the latest and greatest with each other). And, if you read thru the Terms And Conditions of the online sites for each of the 3 CRAs, you'll find that if you order an "online" copy of your report from them, it is not guaranted to be 100% complete. Each site has built in time-outs and data volume restrictions that might prevent the report from running clear thru.
