energizer
Here is an article from yahoo showing Equifax being nailed for inaccuracies. While other two bureaus did correct their information equifax did nothing. http://news.yahoo.com/jury-awards-oregon-woman-18-202709915.html what can you say? Torden
Of course they will appeal on the basis of the punitive damages. It's a "bona fide clerical error" to ignore notification that informs them of their error. That raises the question (at least from me) when can we ask for punitive damages? admin
It just goes to show you that going as far as a lawsuit is sometimes the only way to get a credit bureau's attention.
Torden
It just goes to show you that going as far as a lawsuit is sometimes the only way to get a credit bureau's attention. Another method that can sometimes be effective is get the local TV news to do a story on it. But I did see the story about the 18.6M judgment against Equifax on the news. If the news gets on the story beforehand, sometimes that makes businesses finally do what they should have done all along.
