ericasf
I have DECA Financial on my credit report. Two of the accounts are exactly the same. However, they have assigned different account numbers for the two accounts. But they are the same. Anyone else have any experience with them and any advise on the best way to tackle them? BTO429
I take what you are saying is both of these accounts are the exact same debt, but they have created two debts out of it by giving the debt two different acct numbers.
admin
@ericasf - You should definitely dispute with the credit bureaus first.
ericasf
I take what you are saying is both of these accounts are the exact same debt, but they have created two debts out of it by giving the debt two different acct numbers.Yep. And as of yesterday, they were gone from my Equifax and Experian reports. So I'm hoping that they stay gone and they took my request for validation to heart and see that they were caught in duplicating the debt. Fingers crossed!
