Checked the E docket,

 

and this was issued 2 days ago in IL. 

 

1) What does it mean?

 

2) What should I watch for as far a service?

 

3) how can i prepare If I get served?  Next smart actions.

An alias summons is issued when a Plaintiff cannot for some reason give proper service to a defendant. What has probably happened is the process server could not serve you. It is also sometimes called a pluries summons

 

An alias summons is basically the second attempt at serving you. Issued and returnable means the process server must fill out an affidavit stating how, where, and when he/she claims to have served you. They can issue an alias summons as many times as the court allows them in order to serve you.

CC offerred me a 40% settlement but i didnt have it, so i countered with a 20% and now their lawyers filled for the full amount. 

 

What happens next?

 

what are my options?  What is a smart way to handle this?  What would you do?

@Torden - BK is a pretty big gun to pull out.  

Yes.  But it also has a nasty kick, too.  It should only be used where appropriate.  But sometimes cases like this are.

 

One friend of mine has done BK and went through it quite easily.  He got a $500 CC 6 months after discharge.  Bought a new car with 20% cash a year after discharge.  Hired me as CIO of his new company 5 years after discharge (left when new investors took over).
