BTO429
An alias summons is issued when a Plaintiff cannot for some reason give proper service to a defendant. What has probably happened is the process server could not serve you. It is also sometimes called a pluries summons An alias summons is basically the second attempt at serving you. Issued and returnable means the process server must fill out an affidavit stating how, where, and when he/she claims to have served you. They can issue an alias summons as many times as the court allows them in order to serve you.

1stStep
Well- then you can consider that 20% unacceptable to them...
BTO429
First of all it helps if we know who is suing you and for what
Torden
If BK is an option acceptable to you, I'm sure they would not like it.

Torden
@Torden - BK is a pretty big gun to pull out. Yes. But it also has a nasty kick, too. It should only be used where appropriate. But sometimes cases like this are. One friend of mine has done BK and went through it quite easily. He got a $500 CC 6 months after discharge. Bought a new car with 20% cash a year after discharge. Hired me as CIO of his new company 5 years after discharge (left when new investors took over).
admin
But this is a pretty small debt. Shame to do a BK over it.
BTO429
Bk i meant for people who have more debt then they do income, not just for one collector suing you. A court reviews the bk and determines if a bk will be allowed. It's not just as simple as filing some papers.
