sasjp
So I ended up sending a DV letter certified return receipt to Viking Client Services that was signed for on 9/4. Then I get another letter from Viking dated 9/5 asking me to please call them as they want to negotiate the debt with me for settlement. Nothing else - no validation, nothing. What do I do? Send them another letter with that one attached telling them they are now in violation? Steve
willingtocope
Chances are these two letters crossed in the mail or somewhere in the system. I don't think their letter is in response to yours. IMO, wait.
admin
I agree, I think they crossed in the mail.
BTO429
I agree, they would use the bonafide error excuse.
antiquedave
that doesn't mean there isn't a violation in the letter itself though, they can send you more than one letter during the 30 days you have to respond the question would be does the second letter in any way overshadow your rights, each letter alone may not have a violation sometimes it is the way they all play together and or contradict each other causing confusion
