schmitzy84
I know I've seen a similar post before, but I cannot for the life of me find it. I sent out another round of disputes to all three CRAs. Equifax and TransUnion are re-investigating but Experian sent me a letter stating that they were contacting me either for more documentation or because the documents sent were illegible (their bold emphasis). There is no way the documents were illegible as they were scanned and printed on professional equipment and the the other two CRAs took them. I know that contacting them and resending documents resets the clock. Should I wait until their 30 days are up and send another letter or should I forward everything to the CFPB and initiate a dispute with them? If you wait 30 days, nothing will happen. You could say they took too long to investigate, but what if they have proof they sent you the "illegible" letter? Your call.
