jerook
I have a listing on my CR with CMI Group for $52.00. It's with a past bill with WOW Internet service. They mailed me a notice, I didn't respond within the 30 days, so they assumed the debt was valid and placed the collection on my CR. Now I just fired off a dv letter to CMI Group and they updated my credit report to say the debt was in dispute. About a week after they got my dv and updated my CR, I got some copies of my past due balance from WOW, (the creditor). So I sent a pay for delete letter but have heard nothing back from WOW. Any advice? Am I screwed?
Clydesmom
If this is CMI out of Texas they will do a PFD they are just slow to respond. I did one with them. Just be patient.

S. Louis Blisko
You a starwars fan? "The force can have a strong influence on the weak minded" (Obi Wan). Call Mr. Fish Below (contact info from their 8k - they are publically traded). Tell him you had a "tiny" bill that there was a miscommunication on and it was sent to a CA. You are trying to buy a house and his tiny issue is causing you problems getting approved. Would he please contact the collection agency and tell them to "delete" once paid. Make sure you email him a follow up as well and thank in for the help getting it "deleted".
