Ing
So I was sued a few years ago by [REDACT] in Arkansas and have a default judgement. There was a request for an affidavid of FR attached to it. I had 45 days to respond to it but I didn't know about it. That was nearly [REDACT] years ago. I'm completely insolvent and unemployed at the moment and may be this way for some time. What I plan to do is wait until I have enough money to pay and then just take care of it all at once. In the mean time, I moved away from my former address and I have been ignoring their lawyer's phone calls. I am concerned that I could be held in contempt for failing to file the affidavid of financial records. Should I be concerned about this? Thanks in advance. shellieh98
I would be concerned. Maybe you should talk with the lawyer, and if you are insolvent file the affidavit...they can't get money from a turnip. You can work out a settlement later.
