Question on Good Will Vs Dispute on Charge offs

Hey guys,

I have 4 charge offs on my credit report which I've began to clean up. Three of these are long since sold off by Chase to JDBs and the final one I settled with Citi after it was charged off. My question for you is what is the best way to attempt to get these off my report. I see some say dispute everything but then I'm reading others saying try some goodwill first and see what happens. These are going on 4 years old which is old enough where I question the amount of records they still have on them but still 3 years away from falling off on their own.

I'm worried that Chase won't have much goodwill towards me since 3 of them are there accounts. Note that only one started out as a Chase account the other two were bought in accusations from Providian/Wamu before I defaulted.

How long are companies keeping records like that these days? Is a dispute of not mine likely to stump them if I follow up on it?

Yeah, all of these are either out of SOL completely, settled already in writing with OC, or the last one is currently in court. So I'm not currently worried about a JDB coming at me, I'm just trying to get some of these negatives off my account. I guess I'll just try and dispute them and see what happens. If even a few fall off I guess thats better than where I was at.
