RNJ
Hello. I received a letter from a CA for an old medical bill. I decided to call the CA to inquire about the bill as I was under the impression the bill was written off by the hospital. I recorded the call, and informed them I was doing so. The CA never once gave me the spill, " this is a debt collector... attempt to collect the debt.. etc... Could I file a lawsuit in small claims for a violation of the FDCPA? RNJ
So If I contact the CA, they still don't have to identify themselves as a debt collector?
Guest usctrojanalum
Need more information, what was the topic of conversation? Was there a pre-recorded message you had to listen to before you spoke to a rep?
