Kenforce
Has anyone settled with a collection agency for a debt on which the SOL has expired? I've read offer a penny or less and ask for complete deletion from the credit agencies. Does anyone have a sample letter to use? Has anyone tried to get a "delete" from the original credit card company on a debt out of SOL? Thanks, Kenneth
nascar
One penny or a million dollars; it's all the same. Why do anything that could be arguably be construed as a promise to pay, perhaps restarting the statute of limitations?
TomnTex
I agree with NASCAR, let it die. If it's that old it isn't hurting you very much if at all. After seven years to 7.5 it will fall off. You start dredging things up and you may end up with bigger problems. LET SLEEPING DOGS LIE.
