nothingface Posted March 31, 2014 Report Share Posted March 31, 2014 So on March 14 , 2014 I received an envelope in my mail that Im being sued. The post mark on the envelope is March 14, 2014. The summons from the court is stamped Feb 10, 2014 and it says I have 30 days to respond. I received it in the mail 34 days after, how is this legal? I called the court and the clerk said the summons has not been filed yet. Im totally confuse on whats going on. Below is what I got from the courts website. Can anyone please help me on what to do. I was not served these papers, they came from USPS. Thank youAlso does the date below " Future Hearings" that says 2/5/2018 I thought was an error but its also written near the bottom of the page so cant be an error. Im confused on why 2018 date.
