Recording calls on smartphones

When I started using smartphones, the one thing I found odd was there wasn't a built-in way to record phone calls.

I've been using this app to record phone calls and it's pretty cool.

It's called "Automatic Call recorder" and you can get it from the Google Play Store here:

It's great for capturing debt collector violations!

As the name says, recording is completely automatic for each call.  You don't have to remember to start it or stop it.

Here are a few screen shots I made to show some of the basic functions.

This is the main screen.  You can see it's pretty simple.

You can set up 'important' folders and categorize your calls that way.

This is the recorded call list.  You just tap one of the calls to get a menu of several things you can do with the recording, including listen to it.

This is the playback screen.  You can see there's a ton of info saved and displayed for the calls.

Here's a few other cool features:

- You can save the calls to an external SD card

- You can link the app to your Google Drive and each recording automatically syncs to your Drive.

- You can password protect the recordings.

- You can set the quality of the recording.
