Proper Answer regarding Credit Card Debt

Recommended Posts

Just a quick question: If a plaintiff provides unauthenticated credit card statements to a defendant AFTER the complaint, but before a pre-trial hearing,  what is the proper answer if the judge asks if you had credit cards from XYZ credit card company?

It admits you had an account. It is still up to them to prove how much is owed, and even more important they have standing to sue you. That is where you would focus your efforts....make them prove standing, attacking those affidavidt's that they will produce saying they have standing, and especially ones that say you owe xxxx.xx, and the records are correct.
