rrlangly
I have good credit history, but this past year I've had to put some unexpected events on my credit card and now its at the point that its starting to take a while to pay off. I have a Chase Mileage Plus card w/ about 20k on it. I'd like to get more understanding on doing a transfer of the debt on this card by opening another card that says 0% APR for 15 months, does that work as it sounds? I'd pay no interest for 15 months? Any catches? Would that be a smart move?
willingtocope
Be sure to read the fine print. Most CCs do have a transfer fee...sometimes on the order of $10 per $100. And, if you decide to transfer, make sure its something you'll actually pay off within the 0% time period.
