Definition of "repossession" as used on Credit Karma

I was just looking back at old notifications on Credit Karma and saw one from a few months ago that said one of my accounts went into repossession in August 2014.

The only repossession I've ever had was during my divorce in 2008.

Does "repossession" mean something else entirely in this circumstance?

Thanks!

They're allowed to report for 7-1/2 yrs after the first missed payment.  Sounds like time might be up this year.  It is unusual for a creditor to suddenly "wake up" if they haven't been reporting for awhile...but its not illegal.

And, again...Credit Karma does not show you the most accurate data.  Its possible this has been on your actual reports all along and CK just updated their access.
