happyheart
Okay, so you lose your judgment in court. You agree to a payment schedule and make payments on time. Does the judgment still go on your credit report?

happyheart
Thanks! What about if I get a judgment vacated. That means the judgment goes off my credit report, right? Can I then negotiate a settlement with whoever is suing me, and not have the judgment go on my credit report?
Harry Seaward
Parties can stipulate anything they want in a settlement agreement, so long as it's not illegal. Getting the other side to agree to your terms is another matter.
happyheart
Thanks! I'm trying to decide whether to try to get a judgment vacated or file a bankruptcy. I'm thinking it might just be easier to file the bankruptcy. It would be a chapter 7, and I have no assets...no house, car, or anything else for a creditor to take. lol
