kittycat
Can the attorney name a witness only by title and not by name? Like both in the disclosure and in a motion to appear on the telephone, the witness is referred to as only records custodian. Not like John Doe or another person, just records custodian without any name at all. I searched some messages on this website and found some discussion about colorado and california where this isn't allowed. Rule 26 or some other rules. I read the maryland rules and I'm still not sure. Is it worth fighting to get them to name someone as the witness in the motion to appear on the telephone? I found some other messages on this website where people forced them to name someone but then on the day of court they substituted another person but the court still allowed it. Do you just have to put up with not knowing who the witness is going to be until the day of court?
shellieh98
Search your rules using key words such as witnesses. Most say you need a name and address. When is your trial?
