lc81007
So, my wages are being garnished as of my last paycheck (5/5/16). Today I got the court stuff in the mail. I know I owe money to student loan people, but I don't think this is for that. My questions are : 1) How do I find out exactly what this debt is from? The research I've done shows that Cavalry is a company that buys debts. In my case they are being represented by Machol & Johannes. 2) How do I stop the garnishment? Thanks in advance! CCRP626
Check the court's website for your case info. You may have to visit the courthouse to see the detail on the service (maybe falsely says you were served the summons and complaint when you weren't) if you didn't know there was a lawsuit until now. http://www.creditinfocenter.com/legal/vacatingjudgments.shtml https://www.courts.state.co.us/Forms/PDF/JDF%2078T%20Motion%20and%20Order%20to%20Set%20Aside%20Default%20Judgment%20-%20R1%2014%20%28FINAL%29.pdf
