lasvegasbaseball
I need opinions on this one. Trying to get credit good for buying a house. I have two negative MORTGAGE accounts reporting on my credit reports. The first is a foreclosure, first mortgage, not reporting since 2013. The second is a charge off for the second mortgage, not reporting since 2013. As I am assuming that I am out of the SOL on this one, should I dispute these items with the 3 credit bureaus? Or is it a waste of time, as they are older? I also have 3 medical bills, not reporting since 2014. Should I try to get them to pay for delete, or leave it alone? kraftykrab
You did not provide enough info. NEVER assume that just because they have not reported for a while that the SOL has passed. In Nevada, the SOL is 6 years for that 2nd mortgage, from the time that default was declared.
lasvegasbaseball
True. I'm assuming the SOL is up as the default was 5/7/16.
