I live in florida and I have more than 1 judgment against me for not paying court fines and court cost stemming from criminal cases.my licence has been suspended for nonpayment of said court fines and the dmv is saying that I will have to pay the fines in order to get my license reinstated but the fines owed are over 5 years old.my question is,am I going to have to pay them off in full to get my license back or is there a way to get around having to pay fines in full first?I can make payments.should I just pay because there is no other recourse or is there a sol on this.please help..don't know what to do...

Yes, you are going to have to pay them in full before you will be eligible for a license.  There is no way around it as these are court ordered fines which have to be paid and the law requires it.

There is no SOL on court ordered fines or restitution.  Sorry.  Driving is a privilege that FL can and will withhold until those fines are paid.
