TMG
This is my first time on a forum. I hope you can answer a question. I was served a summons in March, 2016 advising a law suit was pending on behalf of CACH LLC. I sent a certified letter answering the complaint, I received the return receipt. The law suit was not filed, and so I thought the ordeal was over until today. The law firm contacted me by phone. My question is, can they do that? If I've answered the complaint, and they didn't file the suit, can they come after me again for the same thing? Thank you for your time. WhoCares1000
Washington is a pocket docket state so yes, I do believe they can start a lawsuit without filing it in court. Minnesota is a pocket docket state too but I am unsure about the Washington rules on how to proceed.
