Hearing for Motion to Compel for arbitration

Recommended Posts

I  was sued by Midland Funding. I filed a Motion to Compel for Arbitration.  Matter was set on calendar.  Plaintiff's attorney filed a response, basically saying I had no leg to stand on.  I was expecting this to be much smoother but it's not.  What should I expect at the hearing?  Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Who is the original creditor?   What did you include in your MTC?

We need more details.

The attorneys always say you have no leg to stand on.  That's their job.  When you said you expected things to go smoother, has there been obstacles other than the attorney arguing you had no leg to stand on?  If not, you're right on course.

In order to help you, we need more information.  What all had transpired in the case by the time you filed your MTC?  The question "what did you include in your MTC?" meant what did your MTC say?  How did you make your case for using arbitration?  Also, what reasons did Midland use to argue against your MTC?
