zdevilinside
I have lived outside the United States since March 2015. I make sporadic trips back for less than a week at a time now. I have had new collection accounts show up from things I supposedly did while I was outside of the US. I have sent copies of my leases in Germany and Mexico showing I wasn't in the country during the time that the accounts supposedly would have been opened. The collection companies have come back and stated these accounts do belong to me and refuse to remove them - they validated the accounts. How can I have this derogatory debt removed from my credit history? I don't remember opening these accounts, the accounts were created after I had moved to another country and I do not remember doing any business with them. On a rhetorical note - how could I have gotten ER treatment in the US during a time I was living in Germany? How could I have opened a "Care Credit" account used for vet bills in the US when I was in Germany at the time? I also had some happen after I returned to the Western Hemisphere and it might be possible if I leaved near the border but I am down in the Mexico City area.
