RobinMontrose 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2018 I read some threads that say the recommended addresses to dispute published by the CRA's will result in returned letters if you send it Certified. Some say it works. How can this be??? If this is true where can it be sent? Robin

RobinMontrose 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2018 I'm sending ID theft letters to the three CRA's. Need to send them certified of course.
Harry Seaward 1,296 Report post Posted December 24, 2018 If you are a victim of ID theft, you need to add a fraud alert and freeze your credit files. All three CRAs have this function available online and via telephone. They don't give addresses, I'm guessing because ID Theft/fraud is something you would want to report immediately - not however long it takes for a certified letter to get delivered, opened, routed and processed.
