Lysa
I received in the mail early this month paperwork regarding a consumer credit collection complaint case being filed against me by collection agency Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC and I have no idea what to do. Harry Seaward
On 12/07 they filled proof of substituted service, so the clock for the response deadline (usually 20-30 days) started ticking on that day. Who is the original creditor? Your absolute best shot is going to be arbitration, but it's not available with Capital One, and may not be available with Citi if you were sued in "small claims court". Lysa
The original creditor is Synchrony Bank/ Amazon. So should I respond before the time is up? Or should I try to set up a payment arrangement with the original creditor or collection agency?
Lysa
and what does the "VACATED" disposition mean?

Read the first couple posts from this thread. https://www.creditinfocenter.com/community/topic/329436-arbitration-overview-and-strategy-2018-most-up-to-date-info/ 41 minutes ago, Lysa said: and what does the "VACATED" disposition mean? It means that one event (the tickler to check for proof of service) has been cleared. I.e. they filled the proof of service so there's no need to check on this in April.
