Strugglebus
Was sued by a 3rd party junk debt collector. Won MTC Arbitration in court. I just recieved a letter stating that the Arbitrator is not accepting the filing. AAA was who the complainant's attorneys filed with. What's next? nobk4me
Was a reason given for not accepting the filing?

Wonder if they picked AAA since their "refusal for non payment" letter contains that verbiage about taking the matter back to court.

I requested JAMS in the motion though.

Which is why they picked AAA. Did they include the granted MTC? My guess is they rejected it because AAA does not accept companies initiating against a consumer without a court order. Who is the JDB? And I'm curious how it came about that they filed the AAA case instead of you?

I guess the only caveat there would be what the agreement/court order says about who initiates.

Also, if you start JAMS and the Plaintiff then sends the granted MTC to AAA and they re-open the case, you will have done the work (and potentially paid the $250) for nothing.
Strugglebus
So not sure how to proceed at this point. The court order did not specify who would initiate. I think they just filed before I did.

Email a copy of the Judge's order granting your Motion to Compel to AAA and ask that they re-open your arbitration case per the court's order. Copy the attorney on the email.
