Question about after filing for arb.

Recommended Posts

After the court accepts the motion for arb, they give you a set amount of time to file. Once you file the arb and pay the $200 fee. Do you have to inform the court that you filed or will AAA do that? I already sent a copy of the forms via cert mail to the opposing attorney. The only thing AAA told me was to send a copy to the attorney, didn't say much about the court. Thanks again for all the help with this case.

Did the court order you to notify it that you had initiated with AAA?  If so, then you must do this by whatever date the court gave you.  If not, you can skip it, but can still send in a notice if you want.

It all depends on the court's discretion.  If they want you to file with the arb forum by a certain date, and provide proof of that, the court's order should spell that out.

AAA will not do this for you, if you do need to notify the court.
