tvaughn
Received the attached recently. I can just ignore this since it's way past the statute of limitations, yes? Citibank Credit Control CACH, LLC.pdf
WhoCares1000
If you are sure that the debt is past SOL, you can either ignore or if you want to try to get a violation, send a refusal to pay letter.

Definitely sure it's past the SOL. What would a violation get me and what is the risk?
WhoCares1000
If the account is indeed beyond SOL, there is not risk other than the JDB will not bite. What you can get is $1000. Most JDBs will not fall for that tactic anymore but you certain can try.

No reason to stir it up again. Thank you.

No reason to stir it up again. Thank you. The disclaimer at the bottom basically stops this from being a violation in 48 states. This letter would only be a violation in Mississippi or Wisconsin. So at this point you have the choice of: 1. Ignore them. 2. Send an FOAD letter, telling them never to contact you again. The third choice of sending a refusal to pay you have already rejected as not worth the effort. If you feel like sending a FOAD letter, do so. If that is too much trouble, just ignore them.
