Kitkat15
Theres all this talk about getting rid of bail bond companies... If I helped bail someone out of jail 3 years ago but he isn't paying the balance can I ignore it too? or do I have to pay it? Can they even report me to the credit bureaus? I keep getting mixed answers but no one has been 100% sure. Some say if a collection agency has it they CAN report it.. and some are saying it doesnt matter that anything related to the bail CANNOT be reported?!?!? I just dont want my credit hurt because I was helping a person get out of jail.
Harry Seaward
I'm sure you signed some sort of contact when you paid the bondsman. They can sue you for breach of contract, and, just making an educated guess here, if they get a judgment against you, I would imagine they can report that judgment to the credit bureaus just like any other judgment.
