Mitchd 0
Hello last year i received a summons from Unifund CCR,Llc, a limited liability company. And suing me for $3,600 Along with it was an Order to show cause hearing/ trial date which will be tomorrow(6-22-20). The original creditor was citibank. I failed to respond on the summons because i know i owe that debt, but not sure if its the right amount though. Anyway in january of this year i also received a letter that says an order for judgment. My question is what do i need to do or say in the hearing if the judge asked me why i did not respond on the summons i received? I have no attorney, i cant afford one. Please any help will be gladly appreciated. What paperworks should i bring? What else can i do? I know i have a very limited time now. This is in chatsworth court by the way. Will i get a bench warrant for not answering on the summons? Can i go to to jail for this? Please help and thank you in advance.
