I have the same issue hunt and Henrique...I have not been served but they attempted...I also look online and see case number and my name and date filed. I don’t mind paying my debt but I do NOT want them to take advantage of me. I called them and set up payment plan, but after I went on credit karma and disputed the debt (I want panicking) now they say to continue with payment plan I have to email them saying I don’t dispute the debt. I have done anything but I’m stressed out

@HelpMeplshi! Curious how the payment plan was arranged? I’m in the same position. What agreement did they come up with for you? and the overall outcome if you don’t mind me asking?

Hi!! I just called them and ask to arrange a payment plan....the lady was actually nice! They are suppose to send me papers to read and sign. I have not received yet, also I have not been served yet either. But like I said, I panicked and went on credit karma and disputed the debt. I called them 2 days later to ask if I was still going to be served, and they said since I disputed it, I have to email them and say I don’t dispute! I have not done anything yet, I don’t know what to do. I just want to pay and not be hustled! I’ve read really scary reviews on them

@HelpMeplsI’ve seen these reviews also and heard several stories about these attorneys and I’m not exactly sure how to go about things also but I’ve heard about them being unfair with collecting the payments like bank levies even if you’ve made your payment and other stories of bad business. Not sure how true but if they want bank information or the agreement doesn’t look right I’d ask questions here to a couple of more educated members on how to handle things from here out.

I asked to pay $100 month...nothing in writing yet. But since I went on credit karma and disputed the debt they asked me to email them a letter saying “I don’t dispute the debt” so now the arrange is on hold i guess. I don’t know what to do... any suggestions?

@admin I just got stipulation agreement in the mail from hunt and Henrique...it’s what we agreed 100 a month to lay down my $4000 debt. What should I do next? Thank u

@HelpMeplsWhat exactly does it say?  Did they agree to dismiss with prejudice?

@HelpMeplsIt looks good except for the stipulation that waives statute of limitations.  I'd rewrite that or tell them that is not acceptable.  If they agree, then just have them sign and you sign and keep copies.  I don't think you need to file.

How should I address that? Call them?

Thank you! So I will call them and ask them to have that in writing? How about they refuse?

It depends on how hardball you want to get.  The big thing is to get dismissed with prejudice.

What I would love is to atleast settle for $2000 ($4,365) and have that dismissed with prejudice on there...everything else I’ll keep. U think that’s possible? And I still have not been served but I have a a court case number and date filed nothing else

Hard to say.  It depends on how good a negotiator you are.  The more you pay, the more they will agree to your demands.

I’m only good when I know what I’m talking about...and court stuff I am not good at, this is my first and hope my last time! Thank u so much for responding to me. And idea how I would word or even explain that I wanted that statue of limitation wave part taken out?

Hey!
did you call them to agree on that AFTER you were sued or before ?

I made the arrangement as soon as my sister said someone came to her house, I did my research and saw my name on the site...freaked out and made the arrangements. I have not been served yet but I do check court site daily...nothing yet just case number and filed date

@admin what does this mean? Are they charging me fees on top of my debt now or if I default and not pay?

I would have to see the whole order, but I would definitely tell them you are not paying any fees on top on of the $4K+ you owe them.  If you could post the whole document in text, that would be helpful.
